Good Jobs, Green Jobs
Since 2008, the Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference has been the nation’s leading forum for strategizing and implementing environmental solutions that create and maintain quality, family-sustaining jobs and ensure the health and safety of our workplaces and communities.
The 2016 Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference featured workshops focused on clean water, safer chemicals, helping veterans transition to jobs in the clean economy, America’s changing energy landscape, and many more topics.
Speakers at the 2016 Conference included U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, United Steelworkers International President Leo W. Gerard, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune, Ceres, Inc. President and CEO Mindy Lubber, city of Cleveland Chief Sustainability Officer Jenita McGowan, and many others.
Throughout the years, Good Jobs, Green Jobs has had many influential speakers, including Vice President Joe Biden; EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy; U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (MA), Amy Klobuchar (MN), Jeff Merkley (OR), and Sheldon Whitehouse; U.S. Represenatatives Donna Edwards (MD), Keith Ellison (MN), Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM); AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka; representatives from Alcoa, General Motors, UPS, and other companies; and many others.
