Jobs21!

Jobs21! is a nationwide, grassroots initiative for good jobs in the 21st century. Investing in the industries of the 21st century - renewable energy, energy efficiency, modern transportation and advanced vehicle technology, broadband, smart grid, recycling and green chemistry - will create millions of good jobs in manufacturing, construction, education and other sectors.

GreenPOWER

GreenPOWER trains manufacturing workers for the emerging green economy. Focused on "greening up" manufacturing processes in all industries and upgrading skills for producing clean energy products, GreenPOWER works directly with employers to provide workers the skills required to obtain good jobs in the state's growing green economy.

GreenPOWER trains current workers, new hires, and unemployed workers to bring energy efficiencies, environmental awareness, waste reduction, and lean production techniques to both traditional manufacturers in all industries.

Clean Energy Manufacturing Center

The Clean Energy Manufacturing Center focuses on job creation opportunities in emerging clean energy industries and serves as a "one-stop shop" for public officials looking to develop clean energy strategies for their communities, as well as small manufacturers looking to participate in supply chains in the growing wind power and solar energy sectors.

The goal of the Center is to identify job-creating opportunities in the U.S. wind and solar energy sectors and to grow the domestic base of suppliers in the clean energy manufacturing economy.

The Apollo Alliance at Work

The Apollo Alliance Project offers a bold vision to catalyze the transition to a clean energy economy that will put millions of Americans to work in a new generation of high-quality green jobs. The Apollo Alliance Project convenes labor, business, environmental, and community leaders to develop strategies that reduce carbon emissions and oil imports, spur domestic job growth, and position America to thrive in the 21st Century economy.

Chemicals, Public Health, and Green Chemistry

Curbing the use of toxic chemicals is not just an environmental issue; it is a health and safety issue in the workplace and in the community. The BlueGreen Alliance Foundation's green chemicals campaign highlights the need to reduce the prevalence of toxic chemicals in our homes, workplaces and communities.

The Green Chemicals Program is a wide-scale effort to educate union members and environmentalists about toxic chemicals, how occupational health and safety laws are key to curbing the use of chemicals in the workplace, how green chemistry can create jobs, and how environmental and chemical safety are important to the health and safety of workers, families and communities.
